Who is
Louisiana Law Lady?
A different type of lawyer
Lauren Pilié is part of the new generation of lawyers, and they don’t look like they used to. Your personal injury lawyer needs to be bold, scrappy, compassionate, and determined. Lauren has demonstrated these qualities her entire life.
Hard work pays off
While attending college at the University of Georgia, Lauren worked as a mechanic at Tires Plus to help support herself. Despite getting her hands dirty in the garage daily, Lauren maintained an A average, earning her undergraduate degree with honors.
Life Experience = Law Experience
In law school, also at the University of Georgia, parking was difficult on campus, so Lauren fixed up an old Kawasaki LTD motorcycle so that she could save time by parking directly outside of her classes.
Though a college job and driving a motorcycle might not seem relevant to her career, those prior life skills are used in every case that she handles. Lauren believes that a fancy law degree is pointless if an attorney is unable to relate to a client and meet them at their level.
An Insider's Perspective
Another advantage Lauren has over most personal injury attorneys is that she used to be a defense attorney. After graduating from law school, Lauren worked at a prominent defense firm in Georgia, representing insurance companies. While there, she gained invaluable insight into the inner workings of insurance companies and their defense strategies.
After three years billing hours at a defense firm, Lauren switched to the Plaintiff’s side and has never looked back. She has represented injured folks and their families for over 10 years now.
The Trucking Lawyer becomes a Truck Driver
A few years ago, Lauren made the unusual decision to attend trucking school in order to better represent her clients hurt by negligent truck drivers. You will not find many lawyers willing to go that extra mile. After 15 years of practice, she is known as an accomplished attorney and a formidable advocate for her clients, having handled over 1,000 cases, hundreds of which were trucking cases.
In her free time, Lauren focuses on her husband and her three little girls. She also enjoys playing tennis and is such an avid reader that she belongs to three separate book clubs.
Lauren is licensed in both Louisiana and Georgia.
